Letter from the President

Welcome to Alpha Omicron Pi at Huntingdon College! My name is Kerigan Pickett and I serve as Chapter President of Sigma Delta. On behalf of our chapter, I want to give you a warm welcome. We are so happy you can catch a small glimpse of our 56 sisters and see why so many proudly call Alpha Omicron Pi home.

Here at AOII our motto is “Inspire Ambition.” Two words that can mean so much to our sisters. Sigma Delta encourages our sisters to inspire ambition in their daily lives. Whether that be through academics, philanthropy, community service, leadership roles, or a good game of intramurals, we commit ourselves to excellence and live out our values on a daily basis. Each sister uses her talents and gifts to better those around us in our chapter room and on our college campus. We
encourage our sisters to be the best version of themselves and to achieve their goals.

The keystones of our fraternity are character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. These four strong values are what help make our sisters achieve great things. Our high goals and expectations set us apart. Within these four values, we demonstrate our love for Huntingdon College through campus involvement. Our sisterhood is a special bond that we take very seriously. Through our sisterhood and inspiring ambition, our sisters find the confidence that they need to succeed.

Through Sigma Delta, I have found exactly what I was looking for and so much more when going through recruitment. I found a group of 56 girls who push me to be the absolute best version of myself. The selfless love and commitment is something that is so often hard to find. I have found my best friends, future bridesmaids, and most importantly, my sisters for life. These letters are so much more than my social media bio or written across my chest on a shirt or a sticker on my water bottle, these letters I wear on my heart today and every other day. With these letters I carry the love my sisters have for me and I for them.
